Terms and conditions


When renting a car, it is essential that you honour the return time specified in the rental contract. If you need to extend the rental period, the renter must immediately contact the rental company to agree on a new return time and sign a new rental contract.

If you exceed the agreed return time, you as the tenant are liable for any losses or costs incurred as a result of the delay.

It is clarified that the rented vehicle is the full responsibility of the renter throughout the rental period, and you as the renter must ensure the proper and safe use of the vehicle in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.

The vehicle may not be used
  • for either direct or indirect transport of goods or persons for payment
  • to tow or drag another vehicle, unless this has been agreed with the lessor
  • for a driving course, motorsport event, on a motorway or similar
  • for purposes that result in increased mechanical wear and tear, need for extra cleaning or cleaning after use of the vehicle
  • by persons under the influence of medication, alcohol or drugs
  • by persons not mentioned in the rental contract
  • for driving to recycling centres, unless otherwise agreed with the lessor
  • on roads or other places that, due to their poor condition, may cause damage to the vehicle  
  • Do not use the vehicle for illegal purposes NB! Make sure to park and lock the vehicle securely when not in use
     
General information
  • The rental contract must always be carried in the vehicle throughout the rental period
  • The renter of the vehicle and all other drivers must be able to present a valid driving licence, and the renter must also present proof of address, e.g. proof of health insurance
  • The driver of the car must be at least 18 years old
  • All our cars have a GPS tracker, which is activated in the event of theft
  • Fuel / battery: The car is delivered with a full tank / fully charged and is charged with a full tank / fully charged 
Faults and damages
  • The renter/driver must immediately stop the vehicle and contact CarhireAndalucia if a warning light in the vehicle's dashboard comes on
  • In the event of mechanical failure or damage to the vehicle, the driver must immediately stop the vehicle and inform CarhireAndalucia
  • The Renter must then await instructions from CarhireAndalucia regarding next steps
  • The Renter is obliged to act immediately in accordance with CarhireAndalucia's instructions
Theft and damage
  • In the event of theft, road traffic accident or other damage to the vehicle, the renter must immediately contact the police and/or CarhireAndalucia. In case of doubt, the renter must always contact CarhireAndalucia first
  • The damage report must be filled out completely and in a way that eliminates any subsequent doubts. The report must be submitted immediately after the damage has occurred
  • In the event of a claim, the renter must provide the names and contact details of all parties involved and witnesses As a renter, you must not admit fault or enter into agreements with any counterparties
  • CarhireAndalucia accepts no liability for loss, theft, robbery or damage to objects or property transported by or contained in the vehicle. Similarly, CarhireAndalucia is not liable for items forgotten or left in the vehicle once the rental period has ended.
Fines and taxes

All kinds of fines and taxes issued by the authorities in connection with the car hire are not included and are paid by the renter. This includes speeding fines, parking fines, etc.
